Football Picks Week 14

Hi everyone, I bounced back to have a winning week last week. I still have had too many really bad weeks (3-11 in Week 7 and 5-11 in Week 12) that I am under .500 overall. But just because I am more the tortoise than the hare doesn’t mean we can’t get over .500. It would take a 9-4 week to get there and thanks to Baker Mayfield I am 1-0, so let’s go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CEREAL WINDOW

vikings +1.5 over LIONS

My wife’s cousin likes to talk to me weekly about what games he likes. He said to me his favorite pick of the Week is the Vikings because they are an underdog to a team that has half of their wins. I am agreeing with you cuz but I do think that this game is more of a buyer beware than anyone thinks. However, my reason for picking the Vikes here is that I just think Justin Jefferson goes off, #logic.

Vikings Win 31-27

BILLS -10 OVER jets

This is me fading the world here. So the Jets beat the Bills with Zach Wilson a little over a month ago. Now in the rematch in Buffalo with a better QB the Jets are a 10 point dog? Well call me crazy and slap me with a paddle, I am going to lay the 10!!! Why Drew? Well the Bills are starting to run the ball and control the clock. Plus the defense is starting to shape into form as well, yup let’s go Buffalo!

Bills Win 28-13

ravens +2 over STEELERS

It sounds like Tyler Huntley is the man behind the center for the Ravens. This is the only reason why this line is Ravens plus 2 instead of Ravens minus three. I think I am still getting value here with the team that needs this game more. Especially, since the public and all of my friends are on this Kenny Pickett/Tomlin to finish above .500 again bandwagon. Ravens defense wins this game, you all lose.

Ravens Win 19-13

GIANTS +7.5 OVER eagles

Man a 7-4-1 home dog, not just a team with that record this late of the season as a home dog but over a td. You’ll notice a theme here. Take the points when you have a big late season home dog. Especially in this spot. The Giants actually need this game more than the Eagles do. The G Unit know they would fall out of a playoff position with a loss and a Hawks win. Win outright? Maybe, never know

BENGALS -5.5 OVER browns

I think the upstanding citizen needs a little bit more time to shake off the rust. Much of the world would say this is a let down spot for Cincy after a huge win. Except they are playing the team who owns them and Joe Burrow is one of the biggest competitors in the sport. The Bengals kicking the Browns ass in a huge revenge spot is actually one of the easiest plays on the board this week, lay 5.5!!

TITANS -4 OVER jaguars

These AFC South games are normally just gross and even though every instinct is saying to take the points I just cannot trust this Jags team. Trevor Lawrence had a huge career defining moment in a comeback win over the Ravens only to poop all over his helmet (well his whole team did) against the Lions in the motor city. It pains me to lay the four with this boring as hell Titans team but I’ll do it

Titans Win 23-16

texans +17.5 over COWBOYS

This is so many points. The Texans are actually the only truly awful team in football after what we saw from the fighting Baker’s last night, but 17.5 points is too rich for my blood. Can you see the Cowboys kind of floundering around in the 1st half after the whole nation is saying this is the year the Cowboys go to the Super Bowl, this team is amazing, blah blah blah. Take the points and feel gross

BRONCOS +9.5 OVER chiefs

Watching a Denver Broncos game is like watching a sell a thon hosted by Ben Stein. It’s very slow and boring and usually you can take a nap for an hour and not miss anything. But this is one of the easiest plays on the board. The Broncos have given up more than 17 points in regulation all of twice this season, that defense is nasty. Mahomes is the best but I think they struggle to move the ball here.

Put them on the table Drew, what are you afraid of!! Your going to take Sam Darnold as only a short road dog against the 12th man, YEP!!! You actually think the Panthers could be playing Tampa in week 17 for the rights to win the NFC South? Well let’s not get too ahead of ourselves but this is a value play. The Hawks defense has been mostly putrid as of late, I like getting more than three here.

bucs +3.5 over 49ERS

If this was Jimmy Garoppolo I would lay the 7 for San Fran as it’s going to be hard for the Bucs to move the ball. But since it’s Brock Purdy could I see the Bucs either winning an ugly game or losing by three. This is the likely outcome here. This game is not going to be pretty. This is the ugly tree beauty pageant game. There is no super models to see. Only faces that a mother could love, #facts.

dolphins -3.5 over CHARGERS

Okay everyone so you hate watching ugly games like the Chiefs Broncos and the Bucs 49ers (The Panthers Seahawks will undoubtedly be the best game in the late window), you want offense. Here is the game that is going to give you more fireworks than a Katy Perry music video. I think the Dolphins just have more fireworks, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle on a fast track will produce a lot of points!!

MONDAY NIGHT

patriots -1.5 over CARDINALS

Gross everyone just stay away. My best friend (who also happens to be an Arizona Cardinals enthusiast) believes the Cards win out just to barely miss the playoffs but this saves everyone’s job. That would be the worst case scenario. This thing is broken blow it up. Even though the Cards are the more dynamic team the Pats have the FARRRRRR Superior coach, Kliff screws it up, Pats are still alive.
