Hi everyone, I am 8-4 in the playoffs so far and had a banner championship weekend. This pick will not take very long so let’s get to it.
chiefs +1.5 over 49ERS
This pick seems too obvious it kind of scares me. I am considering doing a Chiefs -2.5 alternate line for this game as Super Bowls generally are decided by 3 or more points. Simple reasons here. Patrick Mahomes>Brock Purdy (no disrespect to cats, cyclones or people who have been called irrelevant). But the disparity between the 2 is the grand canyon. The game will be close late and who do you feel most comfortable making a play in the clutch of the big game. My second reason is the Chiefs defense is underratedly great. I think they can slow down this vaunted attack and confuse Purdy on key third downs. If the Niners play ahead of the sticks I feel they can move the ball but if they are in a 3rd and 6 or longer look out. Maybe a Deboo bubble screen is coming but expect the Chiefs corners to play press which would negate success on that play. 49ers are too talented not to be in this and I think a Kyle Juszczyk first TD may be a fun prop bet. But expect Mahomes to make a play late the the Chiefs defense to come up with a big red zone stand to win a great physical super bowl. Tommy might want to start sweating that GOAT trophy. His grip is starting to gather a little vasoline.
