Week 2 Football Picks

I had a solid start to the 2022 season. I had a bad beat on Thursday (sort of) with Justin Herbert who couldn’t even stand up straight backdoor covered to destroy my Chiefs minus four pipe dream. However, the Chargers will be the Chargers and do Chargers things. For me, let’s have Drew be Drew and win many games for you and I. Week 2 picks coming through your screen!!!

SLEEPY WINDOW

RAVENS -3.5 OVER dolphins

If J.K Dobbins and Marlon Humphrey play I will like the fighting Edgar Allan Poe’s more but for I will still take the Ravens who have some revenge in mind after their season started to go to emphatic crap on a Thursday night in South Florida last September. I like the Phins this year but they feel like the good bad team, they are going to destroy bad teams and lose to good teams which guess what, the Ravens are a good team, take the birds here.

BROWNS -6.5 OVER jets

Joe Flacco on the road Joe Flacco on the road Joe Flacco on the road Joe Flacco on the road Joe Flacco on the road!! But Joe Flacco has won big games on the road throughout his complicated career. 1. This isn’t a big game, it’s week 2 in Cleveland. 2. We are in 2012 anymore bro, understood. Clearly understood, plus there is a huge talent gap here. Take the Browns and gasp for air.

LIONS -1.5 OVER commanders

I’m sticking with my Cats for another week. Jared Goff and the offense was impressive against a very talented defense (Eagles) in Week 1. The Commanders have a great defensive front but the fighting knee biters have a good offensive line and can counter Washington’s strength. D’Andre Swift has a big day and the Lions get their first win. I am not quitting on you yet Lions!!!!

colts -3.5 over JAGS

I am hedging my bet on the fact that the Colts are the best team in this division and going winless on a Houston Jacksonville road trip just isn’t going to happen. Plus the Colts have to host the Chiefs next week so if they somehow let this one slip away this season could go south quickly for team horseshoe. One of my favorite bets of the week, Colts are better and finally win in their house of horrors.

SAINTS +2.5 OVER bucs

You might think I’m crazy here but the Bucs in their current health state are not the most talented team here. Plus don’t your remember the Jameis Winston revenge factor is here. You don’t think king crab legs wants to win this game really bad? He tore his ACL in his first chance at revenge last season. He gets his revenge here and makes himself slightly less of a laughing stock as this version of the Saints improve 5-0 against Tommy Boy (don’t include the playoffs please!!).

GIANTS -2 OVER panthers

I absolutely hate picking on this game. The Panthers are more desperate and the Giants just came off their biggest win in like six years but I just like the matchup for the Giants. The Panthers had issues stopping the run last week and blocking pass rushers. Giants actually have a good interior pass rush and Saquon Barkley is friggin awesome when he’s healthy, which he’ll be for about two more weeks.

STEELERS +2.5 OVER pats

Another game I hate but the Patriots were just such a hot mess offensively in Week 1 that against a good defensive front (which T.J Watt injury does hurt of course but still a good front seven) I think the Burgh can muddy up this game and win it ugly. Yes I am trusting Mitch Trubisky to be 2-0 but hey he was 29-21 in Chicago. Some dudes just win games and Mitch is one of those guys, don’t laugh!!

falcons +10 over RAMS

Many see this as a bounce back win for the Rams. I do think the Rams will win this game but I think this number is too high. The Falcons proved in Week 1 they can run the ball against a good defensive front and I think Arthur Smith shortens the game and makes the 27 fans in attendance nervous for a bit. Plus I love Mariotta entering the backdoor, you watch it’s coming and you know I’m right.

seahawks +9 over 49ERS

Am I being duped here? The 49ers looked pretty bad in Week 1, in particular their young (found of exotic dancers) Quarterback. Of course I’m referring to Trey Lance. I think the media will overreact a bit about the video that leaked about a night out from Trey Lance but putting the rain making video aside here is the true question. Can you trust Trey Lance getting almost 10 against anyone right now? I cannot.

49ers win 24-17 (Seahawks cover)

COWBOYS +7.5 OVER bengals

This feels like a massive overreaction line right? If Dak Prescott was playing what would the like be, Cowboys +1 or even a pick em. Maybe I’m overreacting but I am going to take a Cowboys team that will play very desperate on Sunday after a very embarrassing Week 1 performance. Plus I cannot trust this Bengals team getting more than a touchdown on the road against almost anyone right now.

BRONCOS -10 OVER texans

Like it, I love it. This game feels like one of the two ultimate bounce back games (other coming shortly). The Donkeys were clearly the better team on Monday night and clearly would have won in an emotional game in Seattle if they didn’t fumble it twice at the one yard line, let’s not discuss Mr. Hackett’s late game blunders here (like beating a dead horse, I know bad jokes!!). I think Denver is still pretty good and they roll over a Texans team that will be more frisky at home than away in 2022.

Broncos Win 31-14

RAIDERS -5.5 OVER cardinals

Picking against my favorite team to get potentially blown out for a second straight week is something I’m sad to admit. But this defense is more of a mess than a hoarders garage right now. I just see DeVante Adams, Darren Waller and Hunter Renfroe running free all Sunday afternoon. I will also be at this game so I’m about to watch the Vance Joseph horror show for the second straight week!

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

PACKERS -10 OVER bears

This pick is like stealing money. Parlay the Packers, tease the Packers, whatever you can hedge with the Packers this Sunday do it. I will do a dance video on youtube in a Bear suit if the Bears win this game outright. Aaron Rodgers still owns the Chicago Bears and there ain’t no Ebberflus or Justin Fields that is going to change that Sunday night, why is this the primetime game, explain this to me NFL??

titans +10 over BILLS

Betting against the Bills is extremely scary right now and my true rational here is if Randy Bullock made that field goal then I feel like the Bills could win this game by 30. But Bullock missed it so here is the plot line. You have one of the best coaches off a loss (Mike Vrabel) bringing in an angry desperate team into Western New York and they have the great equalizer to quiet a rowdy home crowd in Derrick Henry. Bills win their first one score game since Wildcard Weekend 2020. Calm down 20-0 is still possible Buffalo Mafia.

EAGLES -2 OVER vikings

My favorite pick of the week is the very last game of the Week. I am onto the Vikings like a wet cloth. This is the ultimate tease team and now the public is going nuts over the tease team, buyer beware buyer beware buyer beware. Have fun watching Kirk Cousins go 14-29 on another primetime game and the Eagles grind the Vikes defense to death in a game that has a 40-20 time of possession discrepancy written all over it. Eagly’s bigly, John Cena would be proud.
