Drew’s Top 12 Moment From Week 3

Hi everyone, it is Wednesday and you know what that means. Top 12 Moments of the Week time. This was another incredible week so let’s go ahead and recap. If I missed something on the list, let me know. Appreciate the support and have a great day!!

12. Malcolm Jenkins Pick Six, Saints Roll

I did fantastic in my Week 3 picks. However, one of the picks I loved the most I couldn’t have been more wrong on as the Saints went into Foxboro and pushed the New England Patty Cakes around. The play that sealed the game was Malcolm Jenkins pick six early in the third Quarter. This was not Mac Jones fault but it doesn’t matter rookie, still counts!!

11. Myles Garrett Sack attack

Myles Garrett is a man child. Offensive coordinators have to gameplan against the Aggie every Sunday. I guess Matt Nagy in company did not get the memo as Garrett wrecked the game on Sunday to the tune of 4.5 sacks. Garrett was one of the favorites to win the defensive player of the year award and Sunday proves why. Only Aaron Donald can claim to be a better defensive player in football at this point to the Browns defensive end.

10. Allen to Sanders for 2 touchdowns, Bills Roll

All of the talk about Josh Allen regressing to the mean was a little bit overstated I would say. The Bills took care of the Washington Football Team early and often on Sunday afternoon to the tune of a 43-21 rout. The Bills appear to be the best team in the AFC with the Chiefs recent struggles and with the Dolphins and Pats not looking to be as good as I originally thought, the Bills might have this division wrapped up by Turkey Day with the current look of things.

9. Koo at the horn

Not many were watching the Falcons Giants game on Sunday for good reason. But I am going to make a case for the Falcons to at least remain interesting for a little bit after their resilient comeback 17-14 Win in Northern Jersey last Sunday. They can throw the football, have a below average but fast defense. But the biggest asset is the Birds Schedule. Washington, Jets and Dolphins are their next three. Is a chance the Falcons are 4-2 and we all are throw up wft looks (love Football jokes, hope you get it!!)

8. Dak to Schultz, Cowboys Roll

The Cowboys look to be in a league of their own in the NFC East. The advantage for the Lone Star’s is that they are the only team in the division who has a franchise Quarterback. That was on full display on Monday night as we saw Jalen Hurts limitations while Dak Prescott had a fantastic day led by two touchdowns to a new emerging weapon, tight end Dalton Schultz. We must give Dak his due as an upper tier QB in this game. He is proving his worth thus far in 2021.

7. Burrow to Chase, Bengals get rare win in Pitt

The Bengals could be that team that comes out of nowhere to contend this season. They have a good young quarterback. An awesome young receiving core. Most importantly they have a vastly improved defense. The Bengals are giving up only 18 points a game so far this season in today’s landscape that is excellent points prevention. Will find out more about the striped helmets when they play the Packers in two weeks, look at this dime from Burrow to Chase, what a beut.

6. Herbert to Williams for the Win

When you have a history of awful place kicking and have Patrick Mahomes on the other side you will do unconventional things to win a game. The Chargers could have tried a 51 yard field goal for the lead with 43 second left in a tied game but went for it on 4th and 4, got a false start and still decided to go for it on 4th and 9 (but that made more sense with that long of an attempt looming). But after getting bailed out with a questionable pass interference call the Bolts decided to do something only the Chargers would do, they went for the touchdown. Two completions to Mike Williams later the Chargers got their touchdown and a huge statement win, the Bolts are here to stay.

5. Carr’s OT dime to Edwards, Raiders are 3-0

The Vaders as I call them (Vegas Raiders, play in the death star, do I have to spell this out all the time, haha!!!) are 3-0 defeating three 10 win teams from last season to get there. They were in a dog fight though on Sunday versus the always scrappy Miami Dolphins. After a wild end to regulation (madness is the only way in Vegas!) both teams would exchange field goals in overtime. The play that would setup the game winning kick from Daniel Carlson was an absolute 46 yard dime to Bryan Edwards to get the Vaders into winning range. This game was so crazy we might as well attach the entire end here, check it out.

4. Jamal Agnew 109 yards!!

The Cards are 3-0 after taking over late in the third Quarter in Jacksonville. The Jags have lost 18 in a row now but they did have some positive signs on Sunday. They showed that they have a young athletic defense that can disrupt opposing offenses. Trevor Lawrence certainly can play, he has to limit his turnover, he’s giving away treat like it’s a grand opening at his new bakery. But that’s now the moment we are talking about, Gus Johnson take it away!

3. Stafford’s bomb to Jackson, Rams early season darlings

The Rams look like the best team in football thus far. Their dominance of the Super Bowl champs on Sunday was stark and just. After a slow start Matthew Stafford and the Rams passing attack picked apart a banged up Bucs Secondary with impunity. The Bucs secondary is so banged up they went and signed veteran corner Richard Sherman this morning. This is an element the Rams did not have with Jared Goff, look how easy Stafford makes it look on this moon ball to the still really fast Desean Jackson, Rams are fun to watch.

2. Mason Crosby’s Walk Off, Packers make a statement

The Packers usually get bullied around by physical football teams. This was highly evident in Week 1 when the Packers were embarrassed by the Saints in Duvall county. This past Sunday the Packers fought back. Even when twitters most hated Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo led the 49ers on a great drive late to take the lead they left 37 seconds for Aaron Rodgers, DeVante Adams and Mason Crosby to do their thing. This was one of Aaron Rodgers and the Packers most impressive performances in recent years.

1.Justin freaking Tucker!!

The Ravens had no business winning in Detroit. They played sloppy and looked like a mediocre football team. Well sometimes in life you get a little lucky. First off they get a 36 yard completion from Lamar Jackson to Sammy Watkins on a 4th and 19. Then the refs somehow miss a delay of game penalty. Then Justin Tucker happened, 66 yards, really?? I have to officially say it, Justin Tucker is the best place kicker in the history of football, tell me who’s better? You can’t!
