Football Picks Week 7

Hi everyone, this season has gone off the rails for me. I have not been picking right and you should continue to go against me. This should be called the who not to take when you bet. But let’s give it a whirl shall we.

MORNING WINDOW

lions +6.5 over COWBOYS

Dak Prescott returns and you would think the Cowboys would cruise to victory but the cats are returning D’Andre Swift and A’mon Ra St.Brown should be healthier. Plus this is the Lions season and they have the line to at least slow down that vaunted Cowboys pass rush. Dak starts rusty but wins the game late but I will take the points and the Lions here to keep it close but blow it late like always.

Cowboys Win 27-24 (Lions Cover)

JAGUARS -3 OVER giants

Yes the Giants are 5-1 and the Jags are 2-4 but the Jags still have a better point differential and have been the opposite of the Giants in close games (Giants are 5-1 or every game they have played has been one score and Jags are 0-4 in one score games). I think the Jags are in a spot right now where they have to win to keep pace with the winner of the Colts/Titans game, Trevor L gets it done.

Jaguars Win 27-17

TITANS -2.5 OVER colts

Titans have had the Colts number in recent years. Titans have won 4 straight and since Andrew Luck retire Titans are 5-2 against team horseshoe. The Titans are rested, have the healthier roster. Have a better coach and they are playing at home. I do not think Matt Ryan can have a great game two weeks in a row. Titans pass rush have an incredible day and the Titans win their 5th in a row from Ind.

falcons +6.5 over BENGALS

Falcons are 6-0 against the spread and I say let’s make it 7-0 against the spread. The Bengals have struggled situationally and I think that could come back to haunt them here. The Falcons run the ball and run the ball and run the ball again as Joe Burrow sits on the sidelines and watches. Much of the media is not catching onto this Falcons team but I am. They could steal this division, #football.

Falcons Win 27-23

RAVENS -6.5 OVER browns

This feels like a get right game for the Ravens. Cleveland is falling apart at the seams without a franchise Quarterback and the defense has been surprisingly terrible. The Ravens keep blowing big leads but do you think if the Ravens go up say 24-10 in this game that Jacoby Brissett is going to lead the Brownies back? I certainly do not, if Ravens grow a big lead I think Baltimore -6.5 is a safe bet here

Ravens Win 31-17

bucs -13 over PANTHERS

This Bucs team shouldn’t be favored by double digits over any team yet I am still going to take Tampa because I cannot take the Panthers in any situation right now. Robbie Anderson is gone, Christian McCaffrey is gone, Bryan Burns may also soon be behind. The Panthers will be playing Jacob Eason or P.J Walker. Man team kitty has issues at Quarterback, thank goodness for next year’s draft??

Bucs Win 28-10

packers -4.5 over COMMANDERS

This feels like the get right game for Aaron Rodgers and company. The Commanders defense has been mostly underwhelming this season and Taylor Heinicke may be better than Carson Wentz but I don’t agree with that logic. Washington can’t run the ball and that’s how you beat the Pack is running the ball. Aaron Rodgers throws two touchdowns and at least for one week the Packers are okay.

Packers Win 23-16

LATE WINDOW

BRONCOS -1 OVER jets

The Broncos are a desperate football team. But my main rationale here is I think the Broncos still have the more experienced roster and as I said in Football usually desperation trumps complacency. The Jets just got their most marquee victory in years in Green Bay last week and are playing a team that is a mess. So world thinks Jets win easily. I am going to zig when everyone else zags, let’s ride!

Broncos Win 23-10

texans +7 over RAIDERS

This is just too many points for me. I do think the Raiders will get a win but team Tejas is just as rested (both off a bye) and have been in every game this season. With how difficult it’s been for the Raiders to hold leads don’t you think Davis Mills and company can hang around or at least do what I’ll bet they do. Get ready for that backdoor cover. Mills should have the backdoor cover named after him.

Raiders Win 26-21 (Texans Cover)

chiefs -1.5 over 49ERS

This line is shifting towards San Fran with the addition of McCaffrey and the returns of Trent Williams, Nick Bosa and Jimmie Ward makes San Fran a serious contender. But the Chiefs came off a loss and I cannot see Andy Reid and company losing two in a row. I think Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes bounces back with a quick passing attack that slow down the 49ers pass rush, good game.

Chiefs Win 26-20

CHARGERS -5.5 OVER seahawks

I usually do not like taking the Chargers as big favorites but I think the Hawks have hit their ceiling already. This feels like the game that Justin Herbert throws for five touchdowns and 375 yards and all of the Chargers twitter starts ripping for me calling him overrated. He is an excellent Quarterback and you all need to relax. Stop acting like I said he was bad at football. Twitter world be so sensitive.

Chargers Win 38-24

SUNDAY NIGHT

steelers +7.5 over DOLPHINS

I am putting the Steelers in my best bets over the Chiefs as the 49ers players returning makes me love that pick more than like it. The Steelers getting a touchdown over a Dolphins team that is still working back some injured players. Side bar, why did this line shift towards the Dolphins after the Steelers announced Kenny Pickett to being the starter. He’s still a better option than Mitchell Trubisky.

MONDAY NIGHT

PATRIOTS -8 OVER bears

This feels like last week Pats game to me. A team that cannot throw the ball so Billy B takes away the one thing they do well and they are up poops creek. Mac Jones returns and many people want Bailey Zappe to stay in. But I think Jones doesn’t have to do too much in this game, just run the ball and let the Bears punt the ball 9 times in row back to your offense, over under for Bears points at 10.5.

Patriots Win 24-6

This Week: 0-1

Last Week: 6-8

Season: 43-49-3
